Well bye bye Vancouver Whitecaps as a 2-0 win keeps the Seattle Sounders in the playoffs for a record 12 straight years in a row in the MLS. The Sounders have never failed to reach the playoffs and no pandemic will stop them. The match was a bit of a feeling-out in the 1st half as neither side had a shot on target until just before halftime.
However, right after the half, the Rave Green woke up and nailed two goals to put away the reeling Caps. Raul Ruidiaz would get a feed from the pair of Nouhou and Nico Lodiero in the 54th minute to get the go ahead goal. And Nico would see favor paid back by Ruidiaz as the assist gave Nico a clean opportunity just 6 minutes later.
The Sounders dominated with 11 shots, 4 of which were on target, while the Whitecaps managed a mere 4 shots with zero on target. This was a solid win and a solid result, but Seattle still is still behind Kansas City in the lead for the MLS west lead and tied with Portland (but hold a game in hand).
