The Seattle Sounders came off a tough Cascadia rivalry game vs Portland and beat the living daylights out of the LA Galaxy. Christian Roldan came up with a brace (2 goals) to subdue a reeling LA team that lurks in the MLS West cellar. The Sounders now own the top spot in the MLS West with 24 points and an MLS leading +17 point differential.
Roldan got on the board quick in the 12th minute. Jordan Morris would get one just before halftime on a sweet lead from Nico Lodiero. The pace quickened in the 2nd as Roldan would nail a 61st minute goal making a run behind the Galaxy back line on a feed from Jao Paulo.
Just like that. 💰

The Galaxy would score a garbage time goal but they essentially had no defense against the attack of the Rave Green. The Sounders put 7 of their 12 shots on target and put together a defensive game that bullied the LA squad. The Galaxy mustered 9 fouls trying to stop the Sounders but to no avail as they were clearly over-matched.
