The eyepopping numbers from Russell Wilson, came back to earth with a modest 2 touchdowns and 360 yards. I kid of course, but as Dangeruss has had a super human 14 TDs in 3 games, we look back and think maybe we are a tiny bit spoiled. Wilson of course led the Seahawks to a win converting 4 total touchdowns as the Miami Dolphins were held to countless field goals.
“For us to be 4-0 is a huge thing,” Wilson said. “Just keep winning one game at a time, and that’s what’s really important to us.”
The opposing QB, Ryan Fitzpatrick had a good day as far as yardage goes. He had 315 yards in the air and another 47 on the ground. However, Fitzmagic as he is called, could only get his team in the end zone once.
Former UW Husky RB Myles Gaskin had 10 carries for 40 yards, and former Green Bay Packer Devante Parker burned the Hawks for 10 catches and 110 yards. But I must emphasize that none of these ‘Fins could find paydirt.
The Seahawks had a a bit better success than they have had in previous games. Although the pass rush was still a bit of a disaster, the Seahawks did a fantastic job of keeping the opposing receivers in front of them and prevented from getting burned over the top for the big plays that we got accustomed to in previous weeks.
Offensively, the Hawks got great production from an offensive line that had zero penalties. They gave up 2 sacks, but those were coverage sacks and hardly the fault of the front 5. DK Metcalf had four catches for 106 yards, Moore had three for 95 yards, and Chris Carson rushed for 80 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
