It was a marathon on Saturday as the Seattle Sounders played FC Dallas 120 minutes to earn a 4-3 victory. The game started off in the Rave Green’s favor as Raul Ruidiaz would score in the 18th minute as a Christian Roldan pass to Raul outside of the box was immediately fired in to find net. Just 4 minutes later, Jordan Morris would snag a Joevin Jones pass and hit a left-footed shot underneath the Dallas goalie for the 2-0 lead.

FC Dallas didn’t come to Seattle to get blown out of the building however, as they would cut the lead down to 2-1 in the 39th minute. From there, it played out like a tennis match with FCD tying the game in the 64th, while 10 minutes later Jordan Morris would give the Rave Green the lead back again.

FCD’s Bryan Acosta would accost the Sounders again—as he has all season—with an equalizer in the 82nd minute. But leave it to the USMNT’s and Mercer Island’s own, Jordan Morris to earn the hat trick and score in the 113th minute to win the game.

There were no shortages of attempts on goal with 24 by both teams. The Sounders had 10 on target to FCD’s 8 and Goalie Stefan Frei had another amazing game with 8 saves. The Sounders now host Real Salt Lake at 7pm on Wednesday October 23rd in the next stage of the MLS Playoffs.
