Trevonne Boykins in hot water after alleged assault

The Seattle Seahawks cut quarterback Trevonne Boykins after alleged assault charges by his girlfriend. The much maligned QB was arrested on Wednesday after accusations of severely beating his girlfriend. Police are reviewing evidence as he has been booked into the Mansfield city jail and remains without bond, pending arraignment.

Trouble has followed Boykins his entire career. While at TCU an incident with police prevented his attendance of the Alamo Bowl against Oregon 2 years ago. And just last year, he was a passenger in a car that drove through a crowd–an intoxicated Boykins fled the scene.

Boykins was an undrafted free agent who set the NCAA on fire with his arm and his feet winning the Big-12 player of the year award. His talents reminded many of Russell Wilson; however, his penchant for getting in trouble has seen him chance after chance and this may have been strike 3 as he will need to find employment elsewhere.
