You can thank the MLS scheduling yet again as they refuse to take an international break leaving the Seattle Sounders without 10 of their starting 11 players for Saturday’s game against the Colorado Rapids. While Colorado was forced to miss a couple of players for the break, the Rave Green had to play entirely with their second team and the result matched what one could expect.

The game amounted to a feel good moment for the Rapids as Andre Shinyashiki scored a brace. The rookie will give the Rapids some hope in coming years, but the loss knocked the Sounders from their lofty position to a more precarious spot that sees them at just 46 points with five teams only 3 points behind them in the standings.
