On their march to their 3rd WNBA Championship, the Seattle Storm ran into quite the challenge that is the Washington Mystics. After utterly destroying them on Friday, the Storm ran into problems stopping the Mystics.

“We could score. That wasn’t a problem,” said Sue Bird. “We had a problem getting the stops. And when we did get the stops, we had a problem getting the rebound. That’s been the tale of this season. That’s what’s been a part of the turnaround. So in some ways, it’s fitting that we won a game with our defense. Definitely says a lot about our team that we just kind of hung in there. It was a tough, gritty game.”

Bird would go on to score 8 points and put together 4 rebounds and 4 assists. It would be Breanna Stewart who would drop 25 points on 10-14 shooting that would help the home squad. Stewie would also grab 7 rebounds as center Natasha Howard  would pull down a dominating 13 rebounds in the paint
