Sounders find a way to tie Atlanta United 1-1

It is a tough pill to swallow, but a tie against Atlanta is a good result. With 41 points, Atlanta is the #1 team in all of the MLS. While the Sounder appear to tread water in the table, it is  a point closer to put them 11 points behind the #6 team in the league in LA Galaxy for that redline spot for the playoffs.

Remarkably, the Sounders were able to earn the tie after Jordan McCrary was sent off in the 63rd minute with his second yellow. Nicolas Lodeiro got his second goal of the season as he hit a penalty shot past Brad Guzan’s defense. Playing the remaining of the match with just 10 players, the Sounders pulled out the tie to earn a point against the best team in the league.
