Sounders drop the MLS Cup Rematch, lose 0-1 to Toronto

No Toronto FC will not look at this as revenge but rather what could have been as they lost to the Seattle Sounders in the MLS Cup last December. Toronto won their 4gh straight beat the Sounders 1-0 putting them in charge of the MLS East.

For the Sounders, this was the 1st loss ever for head coach Brian Schmetzer at the confines of CenturyLink field. This season has been shaky for the Sounders. After winning their first game at home against the New York Red Bulls, they failed to score against Atlanta United FC, were forced to come from 3-0 down to get a draw against the New England Revolution, and they have now lost to an undermanned TFC team.

TFC coach Greg Vanney de-prioritized this game, playing several backups. That mattered little as superstar Jozy ALtidore scored in the 23rd minute to give his squad the 1-0 lead they wouldn’t lose a hold of.
