Silvertips win it in OT, down Americans 6-5 and head to WHL finals

The Everett Silvertips used a power play in overtime to take out the Tri-City Americans on Monday. The 6-5 win allows the Tips to take the Western Conference Finals series 4-2.

The Tips were down 2-5 in the 3rd period when they began their furious comeback. Conor Dewar would spark the comeback with a huge goal. Kevin Davis and Garrett Pilon would follow up with unlikely goals showing the heart of the Silvertips squad.

Davis would prove to be the hero as a shot at 5:58 in OT made its way past goaltender Patrick Dea putting the cherry on top to seal the American’s fate. The Tips will now take on Eastern Conference champs, the Swift CUrrent Broncos in the finals.
