Silvertips win 4-0 over the Winterhawks taking playoff series

On Friday night, the Everett Silvertips took out the Portland Winterhawks by a score of 4-0 in round 2 of the WHL playoffs. In front of 6,220 fans at the Angel of the Winds Arena, the Tips took 39 shots on struggling goaltender Cole Kehler and saw yet another impressive performance by Tips goalie Carter Hart who stopped 30 shots on his way to yet another win.

Jake Christiansen scored twice on the night while Riley Sutter and Gianni Fairbrother helped round out the goals for the evening.

Everett will take on the Tri-City Americans in the Finals starting Friday April 20th. The Americans took out the Victoria Royals in round 2. The winner will get an oportunity to vie for the Memorial Cup.
