Silvertips close out regular season with 5-1 beat-down of Victoria

The Victoria Royals looked as if they had no business being in the same rink as the Silvertips as they lost 5-1. Martin Fasko-Rudas scored his 1st WHL hat trick in front of a sold out Everett fan base. Angel of the Winds area saw Dawson Butt and Jaylen Price get goals while goaltender Max Palaga earned the win.

The Silvertips would have 8,393 in attendance on Saturday night’s Fan Appreciation Night adding to a record 3.2 million fans for the season. This was the 11th sell out giving the Tips 5,614 fans per game this season—the most in the last 8 years.

The 2018/2019 Team awards were delivered in tonight’s game with the following winners:

  • Most Valuable Player – Connor Dewar
  • Top Scorer – Connor Dewar
  • Rookie of the Year – Jackson Berezowski
  • Unsung Hero – Bryce Kindopp
  • Most Dedicated Player – Dustin Wolf
  • Most Improved Player – Gianni Fairbrother
  • Community Relations award – Dustin Wolf
  • Scholastic Player of the Year – Dustin Wolf
  • Iron Man award – Bryce Kindopp and Wyatte Wylie
  • I.E.R.C.E. Predator – Dustin Wolf

Silvertips will take on the Tri-City Americans in round 1 of the WHL playoffs on Friday March 22nd. The Tips are the #1 seed in the west.
