Seahawks to wear patch dedicated to the memory of Paul Allen this year

Microsoft Co-Founder, philanthropist, and former Seahawks owner Paul Allen will be remembered with a patch on the Seahawks jerseys with the #12 and his initials.

Mr Allen died at the age of 65 from non-Hodgkins’s lymphoma. He bought the Seahawks in 1996 saving them from a carpetbagging owner who attempted to move them to Los Angeles. By a Seattle public (both non sports fans and fans alike), a debt of gratitude is owed to Mr. Allen for saving a cherished Seattle institution.
