MLB’s league leading home run man, Edwin Encarnacion has been traded from the Seattle Mariners to the New York Yankees. Encarnacion’s 21 homers now join the likes of Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton to create a super team that will challenge Tampa, Minnesota, and Boston for the pennant.

The Yankees also got cash in the deal while sending 19-year-old minor league pitcher Juan Then to Seattle. Encarnación is making $20 million this season. Edwin hit just .241, however, he led the league with 21 homers and had 49 RBI.  The 36 year old will join his 5th MLB club, but will finally have a shot at a pennant.
