Jewell Lloyd on fire, but Storm drop final home game 75-71 to Phoenix

This one hurt for playoff positioning, as the Seattle Storm lose 75-71 vs the Phoenix Mercury. The WNBA’s leading scorer Brittney Griner went 12-20 and scored 29 points to knock the Storm back to reality, clinging on to the 8th and final playoff spot for the playoffs.

A crowd of 13,882 would see Guard Jewell Lloyd would explode for 33 points on 12-22 shooting which would be a career high. Unfortunately, she wouldn’t get much help as the shots were quiet across the board with the team shooting only 41.7% from the field.
