Huskies escape with 27-20 win over feisty Sun Devils

@AlecCDietz

Saturday night saw a heavy dose of ground and pound from both teams reminiscent of old school “Ground Chuck” football. The Arizona State Sun Devils and the Washington Huskies ran the ball a combined 79 times to just 50 combined pass attempts. While both teams ran well, the difference in the game was a return to grace from QB jake Browning would throw for 3 touchdowns on the day. Jake went 15 of 22 passing for 202 yards.

The Husky running game was on track as Myles Gaskin had a solid outing. Gaskin had 21 carries for 86 yards, but it would be Salvaon Ahmed who would light things up with 71 yards on 10 carries.

defensively, Ben Burr-Kirven would finish with 20 tackles and 2 forced fumbles. Last week he was the Pac-12 player of the week, there is now doubt he will be again. In just 3 games, he now has 53 tackles on the season.
