Finally the Seattle Sounders were at full strength following the 2 month departure of key players to international play. The likes of Raul Ruidiaz, Jordan Morris, Nico Lodiero, Christian Roldan, and others showed the MLS world that the Rave Green are back and with a vengeance taking at 2-1 win over MLS powerhouse Atlanta FC.

Peruvian sensation Raul Ruidiaz returned to MLS play showing that the Rave Green are not to be underestimated this season. In the 57th minute, Roldan fed Raul a lead pass and Ruidiaz beat 2 defenders and a goalie who looked hapless as he twisted and turned between defenders mercilessly for the 1st goal of the game.

The visitors would find an equalizer in the 67th minutes but just minutes later the Sounder’s Jordan Morris would charge the right flank and feed Harry Shipp a cross that he would head in for the go-ahead-goal.

The Sounders remain undefeated at home and now vault into 2nd place of the western conference standings, behind LAFC. While they may be unable to catch LAFC in the regular season at this point, they have proved that they are the best team to challenge LAFC for the MLS title.
