Defense was name of the game as Huskies upend Utes 21-7

The Washington Huskies defense is just fine. The Purple and Gold pulled in 3 turnovers and kept the Utah Utes to just 261 total yards on the way to a 21-7 victory. The Dawgs played intimidating ball with

In fact, Utah’s electric Tyler Huntley would only have 138 yards passing and just 49 yards rushing. Running back Zack Moss would collect a touchdown, but otherwise was held in check.

“Our defense played really well and just proud we could go over there in game three and played physical and all the things that we’re trying to be about,” Petersen said.

Myles Gaskin would carry the load with 30 carries and 143 yards. The all-time leader (in Husky history) in rushing would collect a touchdown to put the cherry on top of this victory.

“We’ve been working on it really, really hard and I think it showed up,” Washington coach Chris Petersen said Monday. “It’s hard to play like that but it shows it can be done and we’ll keep working on it. We’re by no means saying we’re always going to be able to stay like that but we work hard on it.”
