Clint Dempsey ties Seattle’s record for goals as Sounders tie Fire

The Seattle Sounders tied the Chicago Fire on Saturday with a Clint Dempsey goal in the 22 minute. The goal would be Duece’s 47th of his career tying him with Fredy Montero (’09-12) for the team record.

The sounders would dominate the time of possession and take a bit more of an aggressive approach with 18 shots on goal (7) on target.

Unfortunately, a 9th minute Aleksandar Katai goal would put Chicago in position to earn a tie.

The Sounders were without defender Roman Torres (Panama) and midfielder Gustav Svensson (Sweden), who are playing in the World Cup in Russia.
