After 3 consecutive losses, Sounders finally get a win against RSL 1-0

The Seattle Sounders have had a rough go of it lately, but this Saturday they found strength in their resolve with the return of the Captain, Brad Evans.  The Sounders (3-5-4) snapped a three-game losing streak by shutting out Salt Lake after yielding a combined seven goals in their previous two MLS matches. Real Salt Lake (3-8-2) lost for the seventh straight time in Seattle dating to 2012.

The Sounders took the lead just before halftime when Harry Shipp scored a goal that bounced off of RSL defender Reagan Dunk finding net for the goal and the win. The Sounders generated multiple scoring chances before Shipp sent one home after dominating possession throughout the first half. Seattle built up a 14-1 advantage in shots before halftime and put five of those on frame.
