Abysmal shooting sinks Huskies in 65-40 loss to Oregon

The Oregon Duck defense shutdown the Washington Huskies on Thursday as the Ducks would cruise to a 65-40 win. The Dawgs went 0-7 from 3 point land int he 2nd half and just 3-17 thru the entire game.

Oregon’s Troy Brown Jr. scored 21 points and Kenny Wooten had 12 points and seven blocks to shut down the Huskies inside game. The Dawgs had their worst shooting game of the season at 15 of 54 for 28 percent. Oregon played strong in the paint preventing easy shots and forced the Huskies to become sharpshooters. While the Huskies are capable of that, this was just not the evening for it.

Freshman sensation Jaylen Nowell cold not get to double digits as he only scored 9 points on 4-15 shooting. Junior Matisse Thyebulle had his 3rd poor shooting game in a row going back to last Friday. Thybulle only scored 2 points–which was the same total as last Saturday against Arizona. With a meager 9 points against Arizona State, Thybulle has been below his 11ppg average for a couple weeks now.

UW look to right the ship when they take on Oregon State in Corvallis on Saturday night.
