The Washington Huskies just defeated their 6th Pac12 team in a row and 8 overall in a row with a hard fought victory over the Oregon Ducks in Eugene. The 61-56 win over a team that has owned them in recent years legitimizes their 15-4 record and puts them ever closer to an NCAA bid.
Sophomore Jaylen Nowell dropped 20 points on the Ducks on 7-12 shooting and led the team with 6 rebounds. He was helped by David Crisp with 18 points and Matisse Thybulle with 7 assists.

Without star center Bol Bol, the Ducks lost their paint presence that could’ve tipped the balance in their favor. The Huskies got off to a 17-5 lead. However, while the Huskies were dominant for most of the game, the Ducks took advantage on a flurry of mistakes by the Huskies late in the game. With 8 minutes left in the game, they went into a full court press and whittled away a 9 point lead by UW into a 3 point lead by the Ducks.
UW would finish the game on a 10-0 run in the final 2 minutes and take back the game from the Ducks. Sparked by 4 Oregon turnovers, UW earned the win and sit atop the Pac12 standings alone.
